My experience of a three day water fast

My experience of a three day water fast

Fasting for three days was something I wanted to try ever since having success losing weight using intermittent fasting.

An opportunity arose last week when I found myself alone and without my partner suggesting that I was mad for not eating for three days.

Fasting has been something we have practised in society for years for secular and religious reasons, like a lot of cultural truths science is catching up on the benefits.

I know people who have done extended fasts before and I had heard of the cleaning benefits that fasts can bring.

Throughout my life, I've suffered from anxiety and upset stomach so fasting sounded like an idea that would help me clean house, so to speak.

How I've managed to be 167 days alcohol free

I've known that I needed to go sober for a while and that drinking was holding me back in lots of ways.

To be honest, alcohol was never something that I had a comfortable relationship with.

Since I was a teenager getting drunk has resulted in violent hangovers and sometimes even ending up in the hospital with pancreatitis.

The first time I got drunk was at my cousin's birthday party where my family encouraged me to drink Blue Lagoons (1 part Blue Curacao, 1 part Vodka, 4 parts Lemon juice).

Free yourself from your past life to live your best life

Free yourself from your past life to live your best life

There is no reason to delay living your best life, but to get unstuck first you have to take a look at what is keeping you from moving forward.

Healing past wounds is a process of allowing yourself to feel more intense feelings as you explore what is holding you back.

It is like weight training when you first start you can't lift anything heavy so you lift the small weights first, then you get used to them and then step up.

Getting unstuck means you've got to take that tiny step towards what is keeping you stuck.
